Job Description
Arconic is currently in search of a Capital Engineering Specialist to join our Rolled Products North America Team based out of Davenport, IA, Lancaster, PA or Alcoa, TN.

Role Summary:
The Capital Engineering Specialist is a critical role within the Manufacturing, Technology and Engineering Center of Excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating capital expenditure efforts, supporting the strategic goals of the organization. This coordinator works closely with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, operations, maintenance and procurement.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Organize and lead monthly Capital review meetings with business leadership and review boards.
- Prepare financial resources to prepare the monthly presentations and materials, ensuring use of current formats, the content and quality of materials is correct and that the business cases are well presented.
- Create a 5-year strategic capital budget plan that reduces business risk and drives higher levels of reliability with locations.
- Monitor and report on alignment between annual Capex plans and projects as identified by our insurers to drive a lower risk profile for Arconic
- Develop and manage a system for tracking all projects that require Executive approval including accurate and timely scheduling for PMO (Project Management Office) Stage Gate meetings.
- Coordinate completion on post project reviews with locations to ensure presentation and approval no later that the due date. Assist locations with materials.
- Ensure all funding requests in the “Finario” project approval process are routed to the appropriate level ahead of necessary meetings.
- Develop and maintain a SharePoint site for all PMO, PDRB, Investment Committee materials and ad hoc reports.
- Prepare routine reports for Executives and Board of Directors on the top return seeking and sustaining projects.
- Travel as required to suppliers and project sites (<25% of time)
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university
- 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
- 3 years experience in capital projects
- 5 years of engineering experience in a metals manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of heavy industrial equipment, fabrication, and installation processes
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
