I’m conducting a confidential search for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join an established engineering organization in the Memphis market.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Mechanical PE who enjoys the technical side of engineering but is also ready to take on greater responsibility in project leadership, client relationships, mentoring, and team development.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This organization works on a diverse portfolio of complex commercial and institutional projects, ranging from renovations and system upgrades to large-scale developments.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated mechanical systems while serving as a senior technical resource for clients and less-experienced engineers.

This is a long-term, strategic hire with significant potential for continued leadership growth.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ideally 15–20+ years of relevant experience
• Strong MEP / building systems design background
• Extensive HVAC design experience
• Experience with heating and cooling systems
• Chiller and boiler experience
• Central plant experience highly desirable
• Plumbing, gas, medical gas and/or fire protection experience a plus
• Experience with complex commercial and/or institutional facilities
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and building codes
• Revit experience strongly preferred
• AutoCAD experience
• Trane TRACE or comparable load calculation software experience
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to review and oversee mechanical engineering designs
• Strong client-facing and communication skills

A Tennessee PE license is preferred; however, Professional Engineers licensed in another state who are eligible to obtain Tennessee licensure may be considered.
