About the Role

The Chief Executive Officer will serve as the senior executive leader, responsible for overall business strategy, operational performance, and organizational culture. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership role in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where the CEO works closely with staff, board members, and external stakeholders.

This role requires a leader who can balance mission and business, while strengthening audience engagement, revenue diversification, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements

• 12+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles
• Strong background in business operations and financial/P&L management
• Experience with revenue diversification and subscription-based models preferred
• Ability to manage and interpret complex financial reporting
• Proven ability to build trust with boards, staff, and external stakeholders
• Experience in media, nonprofit, entrepreneurial, or civic leadership environments preferred
• Strong ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution
• Comfortable leading in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment
