SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Academy of Country Music is seeking a highly analytical, technology-driven Contractor to support the Industry Relations and Awards team through a critical data modernization initiative and ongoing membership operations. This role will lead a high-priority 2–3 month project focused on artist data analysis, awards qualification metrics, systems optimization, and AI-enabled process improvements while also providing continuity and oversight of the ACM Membership Program and database.

Reporting to the Head of Artist Relations and Awards, this position is ideal for a professional who thrives at the intersection of music industry knowledge, data analytics, technology, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will bring strong experience managing complex datasets, evaluating artist performance metrics, leveraging AI tools, and building scalable processes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making.

This position is based in Nashville and is expected to run from July through Fall 2026 (exact end date TBD).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analytics, Technology and Systems Leadership

Lead a strategic data modernization initiative focused on artist metrics, chart performance tracking, and awards qualification analysis.

Serve as the department's subject matter expert for artist data aggregation, statistical analysis, chart tracking, and qualification methodologies.

Analyze and synthesize large volumes of artist performance data from multiple industry sources, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Design and implement enhanced tracking models for artist metrics and awards qualification across charts, streaming, radio, touring, and other industry data sources.

Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that improve data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.

Utilize AI-powered tools to automate manual processes, streamline data collection, improve reporting, and support decision-making.

Develop scalable workflows, documentation, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that strengthen long-term awards operations.

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across all departmental platforms and databases.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for system enhancements and technology-driven solutions.

Membership Database and CRM Management

Serve as primary administrator and point of contact for ACM membership operations.

Maintain and optimize the membership platform, CRM records, and database integrity.

Perform data audits, record maintenance, reporting, and quality assurance activities.

Manage membership renewals, updates, financial tracking, and reporting.

Oversee member vetting, approval workflows, and database documentation.

Maintain membership and Board-related content on the ACM website.

Recommend communication strategies based on membership trends, engagement metrics, and database insights.

Support preparation and logistics for committee task forces and the Q3 Board Meeting.

Awards and Industry Relations Support

Provide analytical support for off-camera awards planning, tracking, and qualification reviews.

Assist with artist and industry-facing operational processes related to ACM Honors.

Support onsite execution and data management needs during ACM Honors on August 19.

Leadership and Operations

Provide guidance and support to the department coordinator.

Assist with cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across departmental systems, processes, and workflows.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical and Analytical Expertise

Bachelor's degree required.

3–7 years of experience in music industry operations, data analytics, CRM administration, business operations, technology implementation, or related fields.

Demonstrated expertise analyzing artist performance data, chart metrics, streaming data, audience trends, and awards qualification criteria.

Strong analytical mindset with experience translating complex datasets into actionable insights and recommendations.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data modeling, formulas, pivot tables, reporting, and large dataset management.

Experience working with CRM systems, membership databases, reporting platforms, and data management tools.

Proven ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize technology solutions that improve business processes.

AI and Emerging Technology Experience

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience utilizing AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance analytical capabilities.

Preferred experience includes:

Prompt engineering and advanced use of large language models such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or similar platforms.

Leveraging AI tools for data extraction, classification, summarization, reporting, trend analysis, and workflow automation.

Building structured prompts and repeatable AI workflows that improve consistency and accuracy.

Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, NotebookLM, automation tools, or comparable AI-enabled productivity platforms.

Understanding of how AI can be integrated into data governance, analytics, and operational processes.
