Temporary Residence Ltd. is an artist-owned and operated independent record label founded in 1995 or 1996, and based in Brooklyn, NY. Our roster includes a family of artists that historically have either defined or defied traditional genre classification, including but not limited to: Explosions in the Sky, William Basinski, the Books, Mogwai, Kieran Hebden/Four Tet, MONO, Grails, Pinback, Nina Nastasia, Eluvium, Young Widows, Beak>, June McDoom, Moss Icon, envy, Maserati, Party Dozen, Fridge, and dozens more.

Position Summary
Temporary Residence Ltd. is seeking a full-time Project Manager who is prepared to begin immediately. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated individual with minimum 3-5 years music business experience in project management and marketing, and with an institutional knowledge of the modern music industry landscape. Familiarity with our label, artists, and supporters is considered a priority.
The ability to stay organized, manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize a heavy workload independently in a busy work environment is essential. You will be working directly and consistently with our global distribution partners, particularly Secretly Distribution. You should be very familiar with the workings of an independent record label and have deep engagement with the current physical and digital environments in both the retail and marketing spaces, as well as experience managing successful artist and album campaigns across all physical and digital media.
Responsibilities
• Work with staff and ownership to develop, schedule, and execute effective album and single release campaigns.
• Communicate and collaborate with artists, managers, publicists, booking agents, and other third-party partners.
• Be the internal and external point of contact for artists and distributors as you oversee campaigns from beginning to end.
• Coordinate scheduling and deadlines for all aspects of an album or single campaign.
• Create regular reports of all marketing work and updates on individual campaigns to be shared with Temporary Residence staff and our partners at distribution, DSPs, external agencies and artist management.
• Prepare releases for digital and physical production.
• Liaise with key staff members and distribution partners to tailor digital strategies to individual artists and campaigns.
• Pitch and develop creative ideas for campaigns.
• Pay close attention to details (of which there are many) and ensure all work is done to a high standard.
• Attend label events and artist shows and represent the label in the music community.
Skills & Experience
• Prior recent experience in a product or project management role at a record label or music distributor.
• Minimum of 3+ years recent experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in leading projects through full album cycles for developing as well as established artists.
• Strong communication, project management, and pitching skills specifically within the music industry.
• Relationships in music and related industries including press, radio, booking agencies, music supervision, etc.
• Contacts and relationships in the creative services (especially video directors, videographers, and photographers)
• Resourceful at working within independent label budgets.
• High level of integrity, work ethic, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm about Temporary Residence’s history and current roster.
