Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Royalty Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, reviewing, and issuing accurate and timely royalty statements to artists, producers, and other parties. As well as applying contract terms to advances, royalty payments and royalty calculations. The position works cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and issue timely royalty statements and related support files

• Review contracts and maintain payee setup in the royalty system

• Analyze sales data prior to interfacing into the royalty system

• Post expenses, fees, deductions, and reserves in accordance with contract terms

• Perform initial and final reviews of royalty statements to ensure accuracy

• Prepare manual statements and adjustments when required

• Process new contracts, amendments, advances, and payment requests

• Ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign tax withholding and reporting requirements

• Respond to royalty recipient inquiries and prepare ad hoc analyses

• Partner with internal teams to research and resolve discrepancies

Ideal Experience / Education

• 5+ years of experience with royalty contracts, statement preparation, and accounting

• Music royalty experience (Artist and Mechanical) preferred

• Experience with Royalty Share or similar royalty platforms a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
