Position Summary
VP Music Group is a leading reggae and Caribbean music label with a long-standing reputation for developing and promoting artists worldwide. We are looking for a motivated professional who can manage publicity campaigns, media outreach, and brand visibility to support our artists and releases. The In-House Publicist is responsible for developing and executing strategic public relations initiatives that strengthen the company’s public image, media presence, and brand voice. This role bridges marketing, communications, and media outreach to ensure consistent messaging across all channels while proactively managing public perception and media relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies aligned with company goals

  • Support and execute promotional campaigns across digital and traditional media platforms

  • Strengthen and maintain the company’s voice and brand presence through online and offline channels

  • Manage media relationships, including pitching stories, cultivating press contacts, and coordinating interviews

  • Draft press releases, speeches, media statements, and other public communications

  • Provide solutions and communications strategies during public relations challenges or crises

  • Collaborate with internal business units to identify PR needs and opportunities

  • Research media outlets, journalists, and influencers to expand outreach efforts

  • Monitor media coverage and public perception to inform strategy adjustments
